Tranny swap 48re to g56.....

Anyone ever swap out an auto for a 6 speed? How much work was it and where did you find your 6 speed? Towing heavy with the 48re in the mountains is not fun. Just checking my options. Thanks!

I'd like to do it, too! If I can get a new G56, PCM or ECM, all the other hardware & installed for less than $5,000 I'd do it but I doubt that is possible.
