tranny slipping at 82k mi 48re

Noticed lately that my tranny seems to be slipping for lack of a better term. if I hold the speed at 12mph or so truck feels like jumpy like pushing on the go pedal and releasing it quickly, but it doesnt hunt for gears, it'll hold 1st gear. any ideas, bands possibly?

Sounds like shuttle shift. Replace the governor pressure solenoid with a GM one.

I redid my valve body and never replaced that dang solenoid and it still does it on mine with 120,000.

If you give it the go-pedal it will stop right?

See this thread. It's a sticky!

yes, if I give it just a touch of go pedal or completely let off the stutter goes away.

Thanks for the link I have some reading to do.
