tranny options
i was wanten some input on what i should do to my stock 48re i was thinkin about doing a converter, valve body, billit input an maybe a flex plate, all i plan on doing is a smarty, airdog, and maybe a turbo, i dont plan on going over 500hp in the future, whats the best brand of parts to use and should i do anything else to the tranny beside what i listed to make it reliable?? i do tow some around 15K a couple times a year, and i have a friend that builds race trannies for drag cars so i would probley have him install everything

That said, for what you want to do I don't think there is anyone better than Dave Goerend's tranny, especially his lifetime warranty triple disk torque converter... best thing going for towing. Give Goerend's a call and take his advice; he can be hard to get a hold of initially but his product is worth the trouble. He will not try to sell you anything you do not need either. He will try to steer you in the appropriate direction. If you don't plan on anything over 500hp... guess again. The bug will bite... so build for 700,000hp and cover your bases... LOL
