Tranny Codes? P0700 / P1762
I got to work yesterday, backed into my spot and put the truck in park. Then a CEL popped on. Got out the Smarty to read the codes and pulled these two.
P0700 - Transmission Control System
P1762 - Governor Pressure Sensor Offset, Volts To Low Or To High
I cleared the codes and decided to take it for jot around the block to see how bad it really was. Re-started truck and the CEL came back on. When I drove it, it seemed real sluggish, like I had to apply alot of fuel just to get moving. I didn't want to chance my 25 mile drive home so I loaded it on my dads flat bed and hauled it away.
I 'm thinking now is the time to do some work on this tranny. Get it to where it should of been from the factory.
Anyone have any experience with these 2 codes? What am I looking at here?
Thanks.

first thing to do is take some contact cleaner and after unhooking the batteries, disconnect all the cables into and out of the PCM and spray the hellll out them. reconnect several times, reconnect the batteries and then clear the codes (if still there) and do a test drive.

Thanks for the input. I tired that but had no luck.
Has anyone else dealt with this?
I really don't want to drive her until I can get this ironed out, I 'm now reduced to driving the 12v, which isn't such a bad thing. lol

there is a plug on the side of the trans drivers side. unplug all of them and make sure they are clean plug back in with some dielectric grease. and go from there. i had this happen but it was because i had everything unplugged from the trans because i for got to what an idiot i am. i would try that first
