Train Horn

Wanting to put a train horn on my truck and trying to figure out the best way to do it, and the best place to get them. Buddy of mine has one on his truck, that he got from the chrome shop down the road from us and its awesome. Another question I have is I was wondering if there is a way to use my compressor for my airbags and plum it in to fill the tank for the airhorn, but still have it to where it will fill my bags too. Any help, or tips yall could give me would be great. Thanks

How does your compressor control the bags? I just went the opposite, had a compressor/tank/train horns and added an air bag controller. The Air Lift Wireless system that I bought normally turns the compressor on to add air so I added a relay into the system to add air from the tank to the bags. I can take pics if you're need anything.

I just put a T off the tank I installed for my pacbrake. One line goes to the brake and one to the horn. Works great. Onboard compressor fills the tank and it doesn't care whether the brake or horn uses the air. Pretty simple/easy.

Ok cool, thanks guys I appreciate it. Icaad, it just has lines run from the compressor to the bags, and then from the compressor to a switch and gauge in the cab. I manually hold the switch until I get the pressure I want, and then I can push it down to release air. Its just the standard ride rite kit. Does your airbag compressor have enough power to fill the tank? I firgured it might be a little low on power, and i don't wanna burn it up, but I dono. If it would work that would be awesome so all I have to buy is the horns and the tank. Redsmoke, I built it. I bought everything at intakehoses.com

In my head what you're going to need is a solenoid switch to operate your bags and to operate the horns (mine came built in). Your current compressor should be fine, you'll just have to do some rewiring and add a pressure switch. Mine turns on at 125 off at 150.

There is a guy that works at the Gainesville Dragstrip, during the Gator Nationals that has one of these things. He would come by the JC's Campsite at 5am and blow that thing.

We designated a person that was not drunk to stay up and figure out who this was and what he was driving. That worked! We found the truck the next day at the track. He was running his horn off a 100lb bottle of compressed air in the truck bed. That thing was bad loud.

OH Yea he was driving a Dodge 2500 cummins, figures. We left him a good note on the windshield, did'nt help.
