Track Comparison: Smarty 4.4 vs BDTD 2.4.1 Crazy Larry

Finally made it out to Moroso to get some sea level 1/4 mile numbers. To make a long story short, I had the BDTD v2.4.1 already downloaded for troubleshooting reasons so I figured might as well run it. Crazy Larry felt considerably stronger than 4.4 on the street, but here are the actual numbers...

Crazy Larry 2.4.1 (15psi launch):
60' = 2.004
1/8 = 8.749
MPH = 79.54
1/4 = 13.755
MPH = 97.69

Smarty Beta 4.4 (15psi launch):
60' = 1.860
1/8 = 8.532
MPH = 80.10
1/4 = 13.492
MPH 98.86

Sorry, no data logs this time. I forgot my laptop.

Best run of the night was 13.466 @ 99.02mph (running 4.4 with an 18psi launch). I tried launching at 20psi and 22-23psi and the 60' went down to 1.839, but the tires broke loose a little and both runs were 13.5X. There were a bunch of Dmaxes there and a few Powerstrokes. The Dmaxes were all 14.5 - 16+ second trucks, but two of the Powerstrokes were no joke. One ran a 12.74 and the other was every bit as fast but never made a complete run that I saw. Both the Fords ended up breaking before the night was over though.

I'm really hoping that injectors and a CP3 will get me in the high 12's. What do you guys think? There really aren't many options for stacking with the '06.5+.

Ya but the problem is as you stated its beta 4.4 not available to the general public as is the BD 2.4.1 and the BD doesnt have a lick of pressure added as does the smarty im sure, correct me if im wrong somebody. Did you have the low end torque activated and torque management with the BD removed?

Brett always has to instigate things . Im not a bullydog cheerleader but atleast buddy is helpful, I would willingly try a smarty on my new truck but had a bad experience with one on my 03 so thats just my take on the deal. This should be a good thread i know how many cheerleaders their are for smarty stuff on here so i figured id do battle for bd for once.

Here's to hoping 4.4 will work with my Juice
Will find out by next weekend.
I need that twins set though. Just finally found out how small the compressor inducer is on my 3k. I don't think it's going to support 600hp.

Ya i can only imagine why they wouldnt want to get mixed up with the actual bd performance. Seems like everyone is making new imporvements Smarty, PPE, and Bullydog, and yet diablo isnt planning on any anytime soon.

i was wondering when you get the beta 4.4 did you have to download it to your computer then plug it in to your smarty just like the other updates? because if so couldn't it then be emailed and installed on another persons smarty
