track bar part # ?

I recently purchased a moog trak bar #DS1413 and the mechanic said it wasn't the correct one, so I had a look and the one I have on now has adjustable ends on both sides, and the one from moog is solid.
Can you just purchase the ends for this track bar and is it a Moog part ?
If so the part #s would be helpful......thanks

Sorry, I can't help you with the part number. But from experience and viewings of several other posts, the Moog track bar does'nt last very long...as little as 4 months. I have one that is only 5 months old that is already got 1/4" of play.

I've hears good things about the products from Source Automotive www.sourceautomotive.biz.

A little higher price...but, I've heard it is the hot set up.

I am not sure what track bar you have , the stock one is NOT adjustable , did you previously replace your track bar with something aftermarket, or was this track bar on there when you got it?

The adjustable bar is not the OEM bar. I am pretty sure that you have the correct OEM replacement. That is the same part # that fit my 2002 QC 4X4.

For the price of one of those bars , i can buy a lifetime warranty Napa track bar , and a tank of fuel.... and still have money left over for a trip to the car wash and a coffee.

Take that bar back and get a refund. Then get a Luke's Link and fix it for good. www.lukeslink.com

IMO the best longest lasting (rebuildible) trac bar out there is Dons from www.thurenfabrication.com. Awsome guy to deal with, its overkill for whats needed he's quick on shipping as well. Cost a little more money but if you can rebuild it fairly cheap and it last alot longer then its deff. worth it. I just put a new one on my truck since i got it for free it was one of them life warrenty advanced auto deals. I had the thuren fab one on my truck when it was lifted though deff. a great product..

Track Bar # ?

This track bar was on it when I purchased the truck, does anyone know if it's a oem bar ? I took some pics of the adjustable ends, check my pictures in profile. I have some play at both ends and wondering with this type of track bar if I can simply adjust the ends till all play is gone ? or will that throw my alignment out of wack .
Any help greatly appreciated.......thanks

I agree 100%, unless you have a lifted truck and need an adjustable bar.
I'll bet I can change ten complete trackbars in the time it takes to rebuild an end or install a Luke's.
That includes the time spent driving to Napa.

The Napa number on my last one dated 6/03 is #272-4229, price $149
Hope the number is still good.

thuren fab has a very good name everywhere I seen his products discussed.
if my truck was lifted, or I planned of lifting it I would buy it.
It can be used with stock applications also, but i already spent $300 on a mopar track bar... .....
