I am running the Toyo Open Country A/T 285/75R17E which have a 3970 lb load capacity-great tire! The axle weights (empty) on my truck are 4690 lb front & 2840 lb rear. Based on the data in the inflation tables, one should be running these tires at under 40 psi??? I have settled on 55 psi front & 45 psi rear while empty and the tires are wearing well. The ride is not too harsh either. With a 3800 lb camper (wet) in the bed I am going to try 65 psi front and 70 psi in the rear. I'm curious to see how these tires do with the camper on.

Anyone else running heavy with these tires? How well are they standing up?

I'm letting the rears run at 40 psi for around town driving. For me it's a better ride and traction.

I've got the same tire and am running 55 front and 50 rear. Mine seem to be wearing very even. I have a camper shell and a bunch of junk in the back so that might mean something or might not. I really like this tire except I wish it would last longer. I think the MT may be the next set I get.

I was running my 285/75s at about 55 front and 50 rear but the ride was harsh and they were wearing more in the middle. They really hit pot holes hard. I have 52,000 on them now and they are near the wear limit.

I found that dropping the pressure to 45 front and 40 rear rides better with no noticeable difference in mileage. In the snow, 35 front and 30 rear works even better, but on dry pavement the power steering can't turn them.

These tires can be run way lower in presssure than any others I've had because they are so stiff. They are seriously heavy duty tires!
