Towing issues with 150HP nozzles?

Presently I have 90HP DDP nozzles and they work great. EGT's are fairly low when towing (lowest power settings on Smarty, 0 power on TST).

I would like more power. I'm thinking of larger nozzles. Anyone install larger nozzles that also tow?

I noticed flux has 150-200HP nozzles. They supposedly work better than any other 150HP nozzle. Supposedly less smoke than other 150HP nozzles.

I hear great stuff about flux nozzles. Anyone?

We have the same engine and pretty much the same set up... What Don will tell you first off for that big of a sitck in that motor you need water injection. Which you have, but saying it for the benefit of our other readers. Second, he will recommend a lower hp stick. Now that I have flux 3's, I shoulda listened to Don. Yes you can tow just fine with the 150 stix and your set up, plenty of people have, but you do have to be careful, and you can make a lot of smoke on initial take-off and keep your smarty tuned down and tst off. You have to be mindful of your rpms. Seriously, I would recommend 120-125hp stix as max for towing. Not that you can't tow with higher, you just have to be that much more careful about what you are doing.
FWIW-- I tune down to about the 500hp level and tow with no issues, but spray water the whole way too, just to be safe.

The other issue I have found is coolant temps, nothing crazy but when your working her EGTS may be fine but your water temps may get a little hot. Heck on hot days in stop and go I can see 214, and when towing it can get worse. Again I live in super over populated Northern Virginia so traffic is always bad, if you live in an area where you can acctually get moving you will be better off. JMO. But I have read and can tell you myself alot of people have been very happy when switching over to the F1 brand over some others,(and not bashing or saying one is better just stating what I and others have found).

I tow all day...but have to keep an eye on things...

You need rpms and a well well matched set of twins to do it.
