Torque tube ?
I have a question about the AFE torque tube. Can I install the torque tube, without the afe intake system, or do they both have to be on, I would like to keep the stock airbox on for warranty reasons.

No matter what you do as soon as you start adding modifications or changing things the dealer would want to void some part of your warranty. Just some food for thought before the bombing bug gets to you. Mike

As long as we're on the intake tube subject, does anyone have any thoughts on how the Diesel Power Products Cool Hose compares to the AFE Torque Tube? IMO, it seems like the non-metal cool hose would not heat up as quickly (due to heat from the motor) as the metal Torque Tube. However, I like the long-lasting qualities of metal. What do you think?

High ten, that cool hose looks great, I would also like to know from someone who has it does it perform like the torque tube?
And can I use the tube or the cool hose, by themselves or do I have to have an entire new aftermarket intake??

I have had the AFE Torque Tube on and off both stock air box and AFE intake. You can put it on the stock air box.
I dont think heat is much of a factor for the tube which ever one you use. My AFE Torque Tube never seemed to be overly hot to the touch after driving. I did not really see any performance benefit from the Torque Tube. It just made the turbo whine very noticable.
