torque tube with S&B intake worth it or not?
Just picked up a new 06 last weekend and baught at S&B intake system and when it arrived I didt not know it did not hook up directly to the turbo outlet. My ? is would it be worth getting the AFE torque tube to add to this system or just leave the stock torque tube in place with S&B

You can use the stock tube but you will want to remove the baffles from the middle section for more flow and turbo sound. You can buy the torque tube if you want to spend the extra cash, but I dont know if it will hook up easily to an SB intake. I didnt notice a big difference when I switched from a gutted intake to the torque tube, maybe alittle more whistle. My take

Man, I JUST ordered an S&B intake. If I had known it didn't replace all of the intake, I would have bought a different intake system. Anybody have a picture of one installed so we can see what it DOES include?

I'm not sure if I'm following you, but the S&B SHOULDcome with the "intake tube" that connects to the OEM 90 degree fitting on the turbo inlet.

Ok let me straiten this out. The S&B does come with a intake pipe but the elbow coming out of the turbo inlet remais factory every thing else is replaced. I spent a hour or two installing it tonight.
Well as for results u get more turbo wistle and pic's up nice little more throtle response other might feel more as I only have 400 miles on my truck so she's realy tight right now.
Only thing I recomend to those that buy this kit is look over all the parts first I had to drill a whole where a whole was suposed to be to connect the box to the sub frame problem was i had the intake box istalled already so I had to back track to fix witch ticked me off. The filter has to be installed a sertain way or the hose clamp wont seat on the filter right when u clamp it to the intake pipe the filter is off centered a bit make sure S&B logo is facing up on the end up the filter or u will be cussing like i was.. Over all good fit finish and great sound.
U will post pics when I figure out how this sight set up is

If you want to gut the tube, take a hacksaw blade and cut the baffles out.
Just make sure you clean all the plastic chips out of the tube before you reinstall it.
