Torque Management Inner Workings. Bob Marco?

How exactly is torque management achieved?

My understanding is that it basically slows the ramping up of torque during low RPMS so as not to hurt the transmission. BUT, how is this achieved? Is it the fuel mapping? Is it some formula ran outside of the fuel mapping that reads current speed, rpm, etc. and then determines whether or not it should allow more fuel in?

How is it done? Anyone know? Marco I would expect should know, you out there Marco? Bob maybe?

Its a fuel map driven of of 3 or 4 variables that modify the values at given times. TQ management is really the wrong term, fuel management is more correct.
