Hi, I'm not in your chapter but I am from that area. I'm currently deployed but I need to have some work done to my truck. I was wondering if any of you knew of a good place to go to have a Torque Converter installed.

I would use Skene's transmission shop here in Cartersville, Ga. They are a real class act and keep a VERY, organized shop. They do all of my work plus alot of other people i know. http://skenetransmission.com/ Talk to Paul and tell him Mikey McDaniel sent cha!

Crawler, when you get home your gonna have to make it to one of our meetings. I am chapter pres. I had a buddy of mine in Canton, where my office is, completely rebuild mine. price is good. My choice was between him and Garmon. Both are about the same, but for warranty work i decided Mike was closer than to drive all the way down to Griffin, Ga.. PM me and I will give you Mike's phone #. He upgraded my TC to a big-single disc, added Kevlar bands & clutches, and a Suncoast VB. I needed a complete rebuild, and he uses amsoil sythetic fluid. It is holding nice with the Smarty on level 3 100HP. Lock/ up is much tighter and luggs down low. best upgrade B 4 the Smarty.... His shop is on HWY 140 just outside Canton near Rhindhart College PKWY. very reputable shop....
