Torque Converter lockup switch for my 95??

Hello all. I know that this question has been asked time and time again but I seem to be comming up with many different answers. What is the best way to wire up a lockup switch for a 95? From what I've read so far, it is the black and orange wire from the tranny that you change. Is this true and if so what is the pin output # on the computer for this wire? I've also read that the computer activates the lockup by grounding this wire out. If this is true I'd like to wire up a 2 way switch. So that in the 1st switch position it will allow the lockup to operate in the stock configuration, and in the 2nd switch position it will by-pass the computer and go to ground manually. Can this be done without thowing an engine code?
Thanks in advance,
Shawn

A '95 won't throw a code as far as I know. I'm working on fabbing up a bracket for the switch right now. Here are the instructions on TST's site. Connected in this fashion when the switch is off the TC operates normally and with the switch on the TC locks up. Link below. Scroll to page 2 for '94-'95 Ram.

Go to the page below. Click on the line for install of a lockup switch for the '95. It's a PDF file you can open for a complete explanation of the install. I've had one for a couple of years now and it comes in handy sometimes. Do NOT lock tranny up through shifts or you may loose a shaft or slip the TC. Get an upgrade on the TC and valve body to beef the tranny up a bit. The 95 has no codes, it's a mechanical beast, not computer controlled.

I have a lockup on my 95 and I have no issues whatsoever. I have found without power modifications w/ tc locked up at low speed the truck will bog down ALOT..

Is there any way to prevent the lockup on a 97 until it's wanted?

With a lockup switch you tee into the blk/org wire without cutting it.
If you want to block the tranny from lockup cut the blk/org and use a switch inbetween the cut wire.
