Are the usual anti-gelling additives already included with B100 for the winter? Where do you get B100? I have not seen B-anything around here.

So are you going to tell the rest of us where it is? And can you mix B100 with half a tank of regular diesel to help with any gelling issues?

I have heard of people mixing bio with #2. I guess if you go 50/50 with B100 and #2 that would just give you B50, no?

A guy down the street was running B70 with just howes in a TDI.. I would not believe it if I did not see it.. Personally I would run max B20 if I was not sure of the quality of the feedstock (DURING THE WINTER) however I plan on running B100 during the summer months. and stepping up and down to B50, B70 as needed. The PS bio additive works well, so does K1 which you need to water down B100 with to burn as heating oil.
At the moment, I can tell you the price will be .75-.85/L,,, all the fuel from this batch is spoken for but I have a line on the next one as I said in the coming weeks which will be warmer I hope and allow me to run B50..
even 2% bio is more lube then any howes or stroke could provide.
PM me with contact info and I will let you know when it is ready to burn..
and FWIW the common though is B20 winter and B80+ summer..

Hmm....at the very least, I would love to use that for heating oil. I just paid $.994 for oil yesterday! I wish I had a way to transport enough fuel to make it worth while. My tank is indoors so B100 would probably work well. Any suggestions on how to transport?

I think Hertz rents tankers https://www.hertzequip.com/herc/home/index.jsp?targetPage=homeView.jsp

You would have to use around B80 for Home Heating.. but every cent counts.
I sent you a PM.

I believe I read somewhere that you need to have both the bio and the diesel warm (not sure of temperature) or they will not mix and the bio will cloud up and gel.
I'd be interested in when more would be available too.

hipsi,
How long have you been running BIO in your truck?
I didn't think there was places in Canada you could buy Bio, anything close to Ottawa?

The very first biodiesel station in Canada is in Ottawa...
The GreenStop, located at 1621 Woodward Drive [Corner Clyde and Woodward]
I have been running it since 100,000km on and off.. I'm at 170k now and trying to run it as much as possible.
