This topic has been killed but....
My truck as it stands is straight piped and I'm sick of the drone when I pull my holiday trailer or 4 horse trailer for my gf. It is just getting to be too much for me. When unhooked I can stand it but hooked it drives me crazy after awhile. I want some muffler options on what sounds the best out of all the aftermarket mufflers out there. I still like the noise but not the drone and raspiness. My goal is to get this truck to one day sound similar to a 2nd gen cummins with that deep sound. I know it'll never sound the same at all but you know what I mean. Would a 5" exhaust benefit my setup at all? I would one day like to put twins on this truck.

If you are stuck with 4" exhaust I would look at a hushpower muffler. I have talked to several guys who run them and are very happy with them, they do reduce the volume of sound but what sound you still get is pleasing not annoying.

Unless you have the brake that mounts under the truck instead of under the hood behind the turbo, you should be fine with a 5" exhaust. I have a 5" exhaust on my truck and the PacBrake mounted under the hood.
