i got 4.10s and an auto with 305s and the max I can it on flat roads is 116mph sustained.
prior to that i had the 265s and could only reach 108mph.
I got an excel spread sheet with formulas to compute your effective speed... I will try and find it and get it up for all to use...

According to that chart the revs per mile for a 315/70R17 should be 586.93 but when I looked it up for the 315 BFGs I have it says 601 revs per mile which is what I have my speedo set at right now which one should I go by. That chart also says that at 2000 rpms it should be 75mph my speedo only says 65.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
I know my truck with the 315's gets up tp 100 mph quite fast but am afraid to go any faster on those tires. What is the max speed rating for the BFG 315's?

With my 04.5 I had on BFG 285's....... 6 speed with 3.73. 109.6 MPH was all it would do. This was done with a GPS. No way it would do anymore. I had it pinned for about 10 seconds trying to get it all!

Well I did another run with the new speedo calibration 110 was all she would go it was like there was some kinda speed limiter or something becuase I still had plenty of rpm left, I didnt think these trucks had speed limiters.

Yes, they have a speed limiter.

How then can I get 116mph sustained outta my truck on a flat road?
Could you possibly have been going up hill abit... or even a head wind... both would contribute to a lack of top speed.
