I took my heap to the track

Yesterday a few of us went to the track and I ran my heap. I went 14.60 but I was still fighting traction issues. It was a good night though there were 6 first gens that ran and we all had a lot of fun.

14.60 is pretty impressive really. Years and years ago, I had a 69 Z28 Camaro that wasn't much faster, and a whole lot lighter.

We're all friends and went down together after meeting at our house, we were smoking up like 4 lane highways

With my 91.5 in 4x4 and fighting clutch slippage I ran a 16.7 @84 - using 1st....Once i got it to grab in 5th it took off. not a bad MPH....

Dad- 93 D250 5 speed open rear, pump tweaks only/gov. spring--- 15.7 @ ??

Joe (not on forum)- 90 D250 727 Locker in rear, HE351 and pump mods/3200 spring- 15.07 (would have went 14's but turbo boot popped off at 47psi

Joe's brother in a 90 D250 727 with a locker and nothing but pump tweaks and 366 spring was running consistent 16.3 @ 84 ---it wouldn't go any faster for some reason

and my buddie's 90 W250 727 with no spring and only timing advance and a ddppin went 16.8 haha--gotta get a spring in it

What ? No U-tube video ?

I want to see the proof !

J/k

That's pretty quick considering I had a 68 barracuda with a 340 that did around the same numbers out of the factory.

I made 3 runs first run 0 psi launch and the truck went 14.74 second run was 6psi and went 14.64 the third run was 8psi and it went 14.80. The last run it spun bad and shifted into second real quick.
