Took a bit to get a HO!

Hey my first post! My first truck! My first CTD! Too bad I don't get it until Friday tho...

Anyway, not sure what deals are happening south of the boarder, but in Canada eh, the 0% 48 month financing ends very soon - and this makes it tough right now to find '03 trucks, especially with the HO CTD.

I've had my local dealer trying to get me a 2500 HO with certain options for the last week The number of SO engines in Ontario is just AMAZING! I don't know why so many dealers are ordering SO vs HO! If I hadn't done so much reading here I wouldn't have even known the difference & probably would have ended up with the SO just out of ignorance (both mine and the dealerships - they don't know what the difference is!) I wonder how many people ended up with SO without even knowing about it, or about the HO option( Anyone here want to admit to such a thing happening to them?!)

The original truck the dealer found at another dealership was perfect - had every option I wanted and was even the colour I wanted (Graphite). They made an arrangement to swap a 2500 Gasser fully loaded with the dealer who had the HO I wanted. I went in, signed the papers, and was to pick up tomorrow...

Was..

Then the @#%! dealer with MY truck SOLD it on Saturday to someone else who walked in off the street!

Ah well...We found another one - silver - missing a couple options I wanted, and with a lot more that were't a priority for me, BUT this deal is done, and MOPAR accesories are making up for the options this truck didn't have. I guess I'll learn to live with the extra luxury fetures....

Arranged for the insurance today...Quite a jump up from my Jeep Cherokee, but for three times the vehicle I guess that's to be expected!

Z....

Re:Took a bit to get a HO!

You're a lucky man. Two weeks ago all of the local dealers had at least 3 or 4 03's that met my requirements, but we were waiting to close on our new house before I bought the new rig. We closed last week, and I went looking today, and there are NONE left. None with the 6 Spd anyhow. So, it looks like I'll have to find a way to get an 04. Oh well, at least I get headrests, right?!
