...been browsing this board for a couple weeks now, trying to make myself wait until the end of the year to buy my new truck, however, from what everyone is saying, I would guess one can no longer order a 5.9? All that's left is what's out there?
That's disapointing to me b/c I don't think I'll find what I want, even if I buy it next month.(5.9 2500, 4x4, QC, LWB, laramie, auto, white, silver, or champagne)
Maybe I should start looking immediately and let go of some of the things I really thought I wasn't willing to be flexible on, such as 4x4 floor shifter, or laramie(seems all the ones I've found have been SLT)
Please say it ain't so...

well not sure bout having luck finding one just like you want left, but yes its too late to order the 5.9. last day was sometime in jan or first of feb. bout mine in the end of feb only because i was set on electric blue and they are far and few between and i was set on the 5.9. there are several places with tons of trucks. theres a dealer in salt lake city that probably has 400. don't know bout their service or anything but they have inventory. some ppl on the site have bought trucks over the phone and flew to get them somewhere out west and its said to be cheaper than anywhere in the nation. bout mine in oklahoma and that dealer has bout 200. if you want send me a pm and i'll call and see what i can find for ya. i know what its like to want the perfect truck..... if your spending that much you should like every weld and seem and square inch of it.

They quit taking orders for 5.9's back in late November or early December. You might still find what you want if you're willing to really search, but time's a wasting!

Thanks for all the posts. I found one in silver on EBAY last night before going to bed(buy it now price was $36,900). I didn't realize these things were really going for $10,500 under MSRP. That being the case, I'm gonna start looking now.

If I give up on long bed, I think it'll be easier to find, but I'm not ready to trade the long bed just so I can get the 5.9.
