sounds like a decent truck 12 valve or 24 valve? I would be willing to to pay more for the 12 valve. wonder what shape the auto is in?

I agree actually

chances are 50/50 if it is 12V or 24V... if its a 12V its a better bargain in my opinion.. good luck!

Not sure if it is a 12v or 24v, the lot said the guy used the truck to haul those storage buildings you see in back yards. Also saw this one too:

1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck 4x4 Club Cab
Price $9,900
Mileage 240,000
Engine 6 Cylinder Diesel 12v
4 wheel drive
Diesel

I think i could atleast get him down to 9...It is a regular bed so I like it because I really dont need that flat bed and dont want to have to pay out the extra cash to buy a bed and get it painted.

12v 98's are a sought after truck. You could buy it, not touch it, then sell for more Both sound like good deals.

I would ascertain the location of last registration. If it was a region prone to flooding, inspect for rust where it shouldn't be, as on seat supports and under the dash. A flooded truck may run OK but will have intermittent gremlins in the electrical system.
