Question Too Good To be True?

I probably already know the answer but I'll ask for some expert advise.

I was just reading an ad in one of my magazines. It is for the Dr Performance Power Module. It claims to add moe power without over-fueling, no need to add gauges, great mileage increases blah blah blah. Now if these claims are true great but I am a sceptic so anyone have personal knowledge of this product? I am not looking for monstrous gains as I tow infrequently and only about 6,000 lbs, but I would like better economy some more power and better throttle response without major money or modifications. My truck will now do everything I need it to do stock but better would be ...well, better!

Thanks for you input

Hondo

before i got my box, i read that the Dr Performance modules make the EGT's go up VERY quick. Most said they had it on, but whenever they got on it their EGT's went up to 1350 very quickly.

I can't recall anyone having a positive response to previous questions about the Dr Performance box. I have read a few negative responses though. Do a search on it. I'm sure you will get the info you need.
Beware of any claims of better mileage. With these trucks it's a crap-shoot as to if you will be lucky enough to get more power and better mileage. Most of us get the power but lose 1-2 mpg with fueling boxes. Some claim to get higher mileage though.........

I have been running the stage 1 for about a year now and no problems, exhaust temp. has never gone over 1150(pre turbo) even pulling my 30 ft camper, definite power improvement, fuel milage not really sure about because i didnt by my truck with concerns of fuel milage i bought it to tow with. The stage 1 stacks very well with the power pup on tow setting, lots of bottom end, exhaust temps were still good stacked (950) hottest it has gotten . havent towed with the stack yet because i need a air cleaner set up, just cant decide between afe or scotty ram air.

I wouldn't run any performance module without gauges, and would be leary of any manufacturer that states otherwise.

I also agree with what the others are saying about Dr. Performance in general. I have heard mostly negative feedback. A search here on the forums is probably in order.
