toneau cover with stacks

Anyone have a toneau cover with stacks? I am thinking of getting a hard toneau that hinges behind the stacks and cut a hole so they come thru. Anyone try this?

CBRAHS... Just an idea... if they can have the hinge in any place, what about a two section top, the first nearest the cab about 12" long and your stacks come throught that, and there is the second section which covers most of the bed and raises and lowers normally. This way the raising and lowering of the hard cap would not interfere with the stacks, The section around the stacks would be fixed. I think that would make the area where the stacks penetrate through much cleaner because you would be able to have a much tighter fit.

Mr. Bee is right... if you put a full bed cover and then stacks thru the hole will have to be an ellipse because the angle when the cover is open would require a larger opening...

i hope what i said made sense...

Rain, bees, trapped heat!, and who knows what else..

It sure would look cool! I wonder what the temp would get up to driving around in the sun on a hot day in the city. Don't put you beer back there!

ive seen a few people do it...they either do a soft cover and slip it over...another is the put diamond plate over the stacks, and put a short bed cover up to where the diamond plate ends...

I appologize for not making it more clear. I am thinking of a hard cover as Mr. Bee was talking about. SORRY ABOUT THAT!!

as for heat, I have been thinking of wrapping the pipe that protrudes thru the bed with the exhaust heat wrap up to the base where the tip slides into the elbow also fabbing a aluminum cover to go over that. I am wanting to build an aux tank and with the price of fuel these days, it would be nice with a hard cover over the tank and bed and look good..

cbrahs... I could not tell in your post if you had a long or short bed. If a long bed, making a hard cover out of aluminum and fixing it over your stacks, make that exactly the difference between the long and short bed, and then use a short bed cover. If you stay standard like that, your options are much greater to find a hard cover you like. The other option is some of these hard covers are the folding type, and you may be able to call them and get the last leaf to a custom length so it will fit what ever you decide to do up front.
BTW... Thank you for your service to this great country.

Mr Bee, you are welcome and thank you for the tips. It is a mega cab so I belive the bed is 6.5ft? Not too sure, never took a tape to it. What my thoughts were to get a hard cover that has like 1.5 foot of solid non folding piece that would go up front and be able to cut the 2 holes for the stacks. secure that and have a folding piece for the rear 5 feet of the bed to open up and stash stuff.

thanks again...
