Rubbing together while towing, or just being a DD without towing?

I would think a 235 or 245 with 85/16 if it's possible. I think some have run 265's, they needed spacers between the rims. Hopefully others will post up that have tried different set ups.

I run a 235/85/16 and theres plenty of clearance. I removed 265/85/16's and there was evidence of touching. Looked a bit better and got better mileage with the 265's but the 235 are way more functional. Additionally, I get a 235 **** near anywhere - like BFE. A 265 is a bit harder to find on the road. just my .02

Discount Tire talked me into 245/75-16 and assured me they wouldn't rub. When I set my 5th wheel on the truck they came right together. The tire shop replaced all 7 tires no charge even though it had been 60 days. Went with 235/85-16 and they worked out fine.
