Tires on my dually
Hey guys,
I would like your opinions on what tires to put on my 06 dually.
I would like you to check out my pics and let me know if ya like the look of my 03 dually with the 35s on it. I personally think they look good but wouldn't mind if they were a little skinner but I want the height of the 35's. I spend most of the time on the hwy. I called around today and found out that the 285 75 would be close to the height of my 35's but not as wide. Should yield better fuel mileage but will they look as good??? That's the question...
Thanks

I think I will try the 285 75 toyo mt on my 03 if I can get these Cooper ST tires worn down. I've got 60k on them now and they will go another 10k-15k. I saw a few threads with some pics of 285 75 on and I think they look good. I need to figure out how much of a spacer I will need between the duals, I'm thinking 1/4" on inside and 1 1/2" between should work.

bruce 03,
I don't think you will need a spacer on the inside. Maybe in between but not on the inside. I run 35s on my 03 and have just a 2"er in between the tires. LOTS of heavy loads and LOTS of heavy trailer towing and the 35's have been great. That is why I'm having some much trouble deciding on the 285s.
See ya,

Topper I am trying to avoid a large gap between the duals. I would like to keep the distance close to what is there now without trimming the studs so I would add the 1/4" on the inside. I'm really not sure if 1 1/2" would be enough with the MT tires, they might need a 2" spacer.
