Tire size question??????????

I am looking at new wheels and tires for my 07. Considering a set of 305 55 20's for it. I am at stock lift height and do not intend to lift the truck any. ANybody running this size? If so, how do you like them? The tire calculator says it will change my speedo about 3 mph.

I would think they will rub that tire is close to 34 inches tall a 285 might be a better choice

i'm running 295/70s on stock rims with no clearance issues. can't speak for 305s but i'm sure if you get the right rims with the right backspacing they'll fit. There are some threads here, maybe do a search of the tire size.

Make sure you go w/ a 20x9" wheel and it has a +12mm offset or more and they will not rub. If you go w/ a -neg offset they will stick out further and rub the rear fenderwell on the front end. Trust me, I've now had two sets of wheels (20s) and two sets of 305/55/20s. 20x10s will rub. I also have a level kit.

Great, thanks for the feedback. My other option is to stick with the stock wheels and go with the Toyo's maybe in the 285/75/17. Was thinking of the 20's to add a little bling.

Troy, these Toyos are very well made - they balance just fine (saved me from purchasing a set of Centramatic wheel balancers) and they make less noise than the CTD!

I wish I could get 60K out of these, Shane - looks like I'm heading for ~ 30
K (same as the BFG AT KOs)... darn curb weight!

The main reason we got them was for their 4500# weight capacity.
