tire PSI?

I have new BFG A/T on my 91.5 ride. Size is 265/75/16. 10ply all around. What is a good PSI to run during the winter, unloaded, front and rear??
Thanks all, Jeff

I nun my 285/75/16 BFGs 55 front and 45 rear, unloaded. Add 10psi to the rears when loaded. Seems to be working well so far.

When on the blacktop, I run the maximum, sometimes the maximum plus ten.

It is un-common to see a radial wear out in the center; they usually wear through the steel on one edge, or the other, long before the center shows wear.

At least that has been my humble observations.

I have seen just the opposite when running a Load Range D or E to the max unloaded. I run 65 front and 55 rear on mine (1500# flatbed). Gives me good wear, and still hard enough to get decent MPGs (does tire pressure really matter in our rigs?). I bought a 1 owner 93 several years ago that had had 80psi all around, empty or loaded, and the centers were bald, edges 50%+.

The centers on my drive tires are worn to about half the depth of the shoulders, and that's with only 40 psi in them.

I've got the steers up to 70 psi trying to keep the shoulders on them.

These are E rated 235/85-16's.

My dually was wearing the centers out on the rear at 55psig. The front seems to do OK at anything above 65psig.Too much above that and my fillings loosen
