Tire comparison?? What's the best and Worst what to pick
What's the Max size tire in 18' rim that I can put on an 03 ram 2500 4X4 with just a level kit on it
Also what would be the correct backspacing on an 18in rim
My dilemma is that I'm running BFG AT KO's (285/65/18) now and I just don't think that I got good mileage out of them I dont do that much towing so that's not an issue
Here's the Tires I'm looking at Now
1.Toyo Open Country A/T $$
2.Nitto Terra Grappler $
3.Pro Comp XTREME ALL TERRAIN $$$
OR
Just Go with BFG AT's again $$
So any and all sugestions will help
I have no lift and will be putting a level kit in soon
the tires will be going on 18X9 rims
Also what would be the correct backspacing on an 18in rim

I went with a 285/70/17 Toyo Open Country AT. I have ran this tire before and it does great. Good on wet pavement, snow, slush, mud, not bad on ice. They are quiet and look good. They last good and perform well. The other tire I would consider is the Toyo Open Country M/T. I thought they would be louder than than are, road noise, but after riding in a couple of trucks with those tires on I wish I had went with the M/T instead of the AT. Good Luck

I've run the BFG's at ko's with great success. My Man van came with BFG's but not the AT's I will be changing to them after I get some milage off the current ones.

I'm going with the pro-comp extreme A/T's.. They come with a 40,000 mile wear warranty which means they should last 50,000.
They are also pretty cheap on 4 wheel parts.
I'd go with 35x12.50x18 or maybe 325/65/18(wider). Make sure your backspacing is correct though.
Correct backspacing would be 5.5-6 inches... Some people go as low as 4.5 with more lift but you might run into problems there. I'm thinking of going with 5 inches of backspacing on a 3 inch lift and still investigating it to make sure it won't be a PITA.
