Snap on sells the timing kit around $250. Also need a barring tool to turn the motor over.
What year is your truck and what trans and people can tell you what pump you have.

Pretty sure all the plates are the same. Can grind your stock one or slid it forward for more power. Grinding it to a 100 plate will give you a good power increase. Make sure you have guages if you start playing with the plate.

oldblues: if you have a 98, then you already have a 215hp. go to tst.com for your plate or there are plenty of guys will help you with grinding your own. Also, check the search on the top of home page, then you can pretty much find anything or information you might need. There are a great bunch of guys here, very knowlageable.

215 pump

only came on the manual far as i know. They did have the same 181 DV's stock however, but u can still make good power out of a 180 pumped ram. If its an auto tho, u will need to beef up the trans tho....

you can make awesome power w/ a 180 pump. I used to ONLY want a 215 pump, but I would be plenty happy w/ a 180. with a mack front plug and some delivery valves, they'll put out some serious fuel!
