is there a write up on how to advance/increase timing? or would some take a minute to explain how to, i'm still new to this. thanks

The hardest part of the job is to is to find TDC. When we did mine about 2 weeks ago, the timing pin must have been boken and did not work so we had to drop the valve and rotate the engine to find TDC. I believe this is the best and more accurate method anyway.
Also, you will need some special tools (Barring Tool, Delivery valve socket, gear puller and dial indicator) to do this. Recommend you work this with another gear-head who has already done the timing job unless you are mechanically inclined.
One thing not mentioned too often is to be sure to clean the shaft with break cleaner or similar solvent before re-attaching the timing gear (it is a taper fit) so it will not slip and to re-torque the shaft nut to 160 ft. lbs.
