I have access to a dial indicator but I need the socket. If I could get a website I could get a part# and maybe cross reference it I could keep my business local and help out some of the local boys.

Got a Snap On dealer? Its about $45 through them.
Do you have a barring tool? Do you have the holder for the dial? Mag base might work, but there is a lot of non-ferrous metal around the pump, and the iron pieces don't always have a flat surface to mount the base.

No I don't have the holder but I would buy that too if I could get the number to cross over. Im not sure I would try a mag base on that, rather do it once. I have a SO dealer but he's an A*& hole.

Get a drain plug from an oil pan (M20x1.5 threads, I believe), drill out the center and put a set screw in the side, and you can mount the dial in that. 1" dial fits perfectly.

I believe a complete timing kit is actually made by Miller or SPX Miller, one of the largest specialty tool companies. A kit includes the socket, barring adapter, dial indicator & base. About $250 if memory serves. A good source for these is through a Case-International-New Holland dealer.
