Timeline for clutch replacement?

I have the 6 spd nv 5600 transmission and about 68500 on the truck now. I am noticing that shifting is getting a little sloppy nothing too crazy just not as smooth as it was at 45k when I bought the truck. I assume the clutch has never been replaced. I was hoping someone would have some insight on ways to tighten up the shifting when it comes time to replace the clutch as well I have been looking into a better clutch and I don't think I am going to go with a dd just yet but I believe it was a volair? I talked to a guy that drags with his 6speed and that's the clutch he uses and said it worked good up to 450hp. I was wondering is there anything I can do when it comes to synchros? I know those will help smooth things out a little and I am definitely getting a short shift when clutch time comes since i'll have the tranny out to take care of that. I have royal purple synchromax in the tranny now and that was done at 55k that seemed to help smooth it out. It's been gradual (obviously with mileage) so any input would be great.
