Time For Tires Again (Help Needed) Destination M/T or Trail Digger M/T

I know there are thousands of tire threads but I believe I have my mind narrowed to 2 different tires. I have had no success searching for reports on these tires and how they hold up to diesel torque.

I have had great success with my Cepek FC II's (52k and 7-8/32's left) but I want something more aggressive for the snow. I can get the Destination M/T's mounted and balanced for 235 a tire. I can get the Hercules Trail Diggers for 239. Any experiences with either one?

The trail diggers are a D rated tire. I can get the Firestones in D or E tires. The Cepeks I have now are D and I never had an issue with the weight. I rarely tow and only haul the ATV in the bed.

I've run D's with no problem before.

That price seems steep to me, tho.

Stock size?

No, 315/70R17's I guess I should have said that. I was thinking of dropping down to 285's but I really like the way the truck looks with the 315's on it.

I have a set of the trail diggers on mine. Nice tire, wearing well for 10k so far. Fairly noisy on highway, but I enjoy that! They work very well off road. They are a d rated tire, but still have 3300# load rating. I have towed a 9000# camper with them, they never had a problem. I also liked the fact they are studable and mine were made in America. I would buy again.

I've only had my 285D Dest M/T'S for 7000 miles but I'm happy so far. I pulled a Jeep and dirtbike laden Haulmark to Buena Vista, CO in August and they did fine.

I've got the 285 d rated destinations, im probably going to get 45 to 50k out of them. My driving habits are drive it like you stole it so im not nice to them, i work in and out of dirt fields every day they do clean well but lets face it these trucks are HEAVY hope this helps.

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I am going to get the Firestones. I just hate to pick something wrong at the cost of a grand. Money is especially hard to some by these days.

I think I am going to pick up some spare rims and put my Cepeks on them for next summer. They have 7-8 in the center left and will get me through at least 1 more summer. I think the hot roads tear up soft MT tires.

I have 2 bikes I have messed with all Summer and neglected the truck. My air filter is filthy, oil has 6k on it and it needs waxed bad. I still need a winch for my front bumper and fog lights. Poor truck.

I am hoping for tons of snow this year and I can run around busting drifts with that bumper.
