time to start thinking about a new trans

and am contemplating switching to an auto. from the little reading i've done, i'm guessing i'd have to go with a 47rH, correct? and my other question is the big one,

how much would i have to spend on upgrades? if i maybe didn't go with "THE" best stuff and did the work myself. just a general ballpark would at least get my feeble brain started down this road. thanks

You can use a stand alone controller to operate a 47RE.

As for a ball park, you can buy all the trans parts and build one for about $2500.00. (You R & R the trans, and do the shift kit) Give or take a some here and there dependant upon which components you choose to use.

I just got the Goerend tranny w/3 disc put in the gf's truck. smooth as glass, feels stout, and like everyone else says , heck of a guy to deal with. called DTT to shop around but their sales guy was out, called me back once but didin't have time to talk so i went with Dave. Dave was real thourough and even called the tranny shop that was doing the install to make sure everything was o.k.

can't wait to get a bigger turbo so she can have mine and get a comp/tst for hers. let the bombing begin!!!
