It is time to get a 12v

I have the itch and I think I want a 12v. I had a 96 and sold it 2 years ago because I never drove it. My 06 is great but I want more!!!! I have been looking for 2 months now and can't really find what I want. I am looking for a 98 5spd 4x4 but as everyone here knows they are not for sale or for a decent price. What would the highest people here would go for a 98 under 200000 mile? I figure $15-16 would be highish and $11 would be a real good price.

Where are you I have a 98 12v auto but friend wants it and he wants to get rid of his 98 12v 5spd. His new job is in town no more highway driving.

I just bought a really clean '98 auto 4x4 quad cab with 166k on it for $15k. Not too many surprises yet. It seems to be a solid truck. There are some images in my gallery. Of course I could have spent less money to get a Cummins powered truck but I really wanted a 12 valve and I really wanted four doors. So I paid the man and drove home with a smile on my face . I figure if it's worth a little extra money to me now then it should be worth a little extra money to someone else in the future...

when i was looking for one, it seemed that the going rate for 98 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 stick was about 15k for a clean one with relatively low miles (under 200,000) automatics are a little cheaper and if you want a dually you shouldnt have much trouble finding something. I spent about 6 months looking for one and ended up buying a 98 2500 QC 12 valve auto 4x4 with 120,000 on an auction for 10,000. i was set on a 5 speed so im in the process of converting it over right now.

keep looking you will find something....

i bought my 98 with 92000 miles for $13000, about 1.5 years ago. It was super clean with leather and all the options. I live in utah and had to fly to denver to get it. I looked for months and came to the conclusion that in order to get a good deal I had to be willing to travel.
