Time to buy Tranny parts.
Ok Folks,
After 153k miles my 2001 auto tranny (47RE) has decided to start acting up. I did the TransGo kit at about 80k, along with new governor solenoid and pressure sensors. It has been working great until now.
Now it is starting to slip the converter ever so slightly at light throttle starting to accelerate at around 50mph.
I do have a mystery switch, and have noticed it is slipping into lockup when I hit the switch. In the past it was like the tranny shifting another gear. Now it sllliiiiiiidddddeeeess in LOL.
I build my own trannies, and have since 1988 when I graduated from UTI.
I will be building this one with a new valve body, and converter.
My question is where can I get the best deal on a converter, valve body, frictions, steels, seals, and bands. What I am after is a master parts kit, with low stall converter and upgraded valve body and options for performance bands, and friction plates.
Who do I need to contact? Web links and phone numbers would be great.

I THINK HTS sells a master parts kit but I am not sure because I droped the truck off and they built it.

I like Goerend Brothers- hard to get a hold of but a good source of information. I have his torque converter and it works great. I would have bought the valve body but they could not get one out fast enough, I had a trip planned. I used a shift kit I found on this board. It works Ok I think, I will end up with the valve body soon. I had some concerns with the tranny I drove to Daves Goerend shop, he spent two hours with me and the truck to help solve my issue. And he called my transmission builder to tell him what to do to resolve the problem. And at the end I had hard time trying to give him money. And the reason I bought from him is because of all the posts with his name- everyone seems to be happy with his products. I did alot of research and he came out ahead.....I had problems and he was great at helping me. I was out of town and the only person I felt I could trust.

Thanks Guys,
I will check out some of the links. Does Goerend Brothers have a web site, or do I have to buy their stuff from distributors?
