tighten up the quad cab doors?

I'm shopping for a 2nd Gen with the Quad Cab rear doors. I've noticed when shutting the front door that the rear door will flex in and out. Also, the driver front door will shut noticeably worse than the passenger front door. Obviously due to more use than the passenger door. My old '97 Club Cab with 230k miles shut perfectly on both sides. Obviously the addition of the rear doors affects the hinges of possibly both the front and rear doors.

What can be done about this? Any easy adjustments?

I'm not sure that there are any adjustments that do not require fiddling with the hinges and catches on these.

The tubular seals have some squish in them that may be leading to the looseness you are experiencing. My doors are a lot stiffer than the early Chevy's with the third door.

They need to have a little flex to allow room for movement during travel. Mine will touch at the top and chip the paint on occasion if I get really twisted up off road, but this isn't very often.

Its just a QC thing.

open the door, and lift up on the lower edge, and observe and movement, if you have any, pay attention while lifting/lowering door to the hinges, bushings can be replaced and will improve the door closing if you replace them,

There is also a trick you can use with the tubular seals. Id check the slop in the hinges first and address that issue first. A lot of the flex you get in these is from the absence of a post. You can take the seal and and slit the tube and slide vacuum hose up inside it. Smallest diameter you can find to start with cause it really tightens em up. I also wouldnt do the entire seal like that just pick select areas that need it. Also try to pick an inconspicuous spot to make your cuts.
