Thuren Track Bar
Just curious has anyone had to replace parts on their track bar. It seems as though mine is worn on both the bushing end as well as the heim joint. Guess I will put a call in to Thuren and see if I can get some sent out. I know these trucks are hard on the front end but my off road use has been limited. Is this common?

So, do you have the adjustable track bar or the replacement for the factory track bar? I was thinking about getting the Thuren track bar, but with the leveling kit and 35" tires, I couldn't decide which would be the better choice.
I'm not sure if you could call your need for new bushings and the heim joint premature wear or not with 50K on them, but maybe the adjustable would have had less wear??
I have read a few threads here and there about the centering issues with the stock bar. Leveling kits or lift kits and bigger tires seem to heighten the centering issues. Those who spoke about the centering issues also seemed to have more tire wear on one side (mostly the right side) vrs the other, to me, that would all but suggest the need for an adjustable bar. The constants of the centering issue WOULD cause faster wear.

I read this thread yesterday and decided to check my Thuren bar .
I have about 80,000 miles on it now.
Today I pulled the pin on the bushing end of my bar and dropped it down for a look. The bushing halves have been turning in there but I could see no real wear. The heim joint still feels tight. And, fortunately, the bolt hole in the frame is still fine on the bushing end. This is a highly stressed area with no soft rubber bushings, and a very stout bar!
So, back together and tighten the bolt. Good to go.

thuren is the top choice for a new track bar and steering linkage...a close second for linkage for a 100 bucks or so cheaper is the 08 and newer style OEM linkage...
good luck!

We went to the bar the weekend before, bunch of us from CF.
I left at lunch Dyno Days, was feeling kinda lousy.
Might be going south to pick up a trailer, will see if I can pick up a track bar and CA's on the way maybe, a place in Marysville.
3.2 short of my 500 but I can live with 496.8 hp I guess.
