Thuren suspension w/ airbags + valving question
I'm currently running a leveling kit up front with Skyjacker shocks and Rancho shocks in the back. I do have a set of airlift air bags for towing or hauling heavier loads.
While under the truck the other day, I noticed the Rancho shocks are shot. I figured this was a good excuse to upgrade the suspension with Thuren's suspension setup front and rear. I am wanting to improve the ride quality (tired of the kidney busting ride)while still maintaining useability. I figure King shocks, coils and full rear leaves. I'm not sure whether or not to go with Thuren's full leaves, or Carli's.
I know the long travel Carli bags are the preferred setup, but why couldn't I just swap out the current airlift bags that I have for some of these:

Almost 10" of stroke. Definitely cheaper than the Carli setup. Just a matter of swapping my current bags out and modifying the brackets.
Last question is what valving for the Kings? Has anyone tried stage 4? I don't plan to head to the desert any time soon. Mostly a daily driver work truck. But it would be nice to be able to blow through some of the dips around here without ever slowing down.....

Thuren is a great choice for what you want it for. I would get Thuren leaves as they are a bit softer than the Carli set and you're gonna use bags so towing won't be an issue. FYI...I have the Carli leaves and I tow with no air bags and they do great. Tell Don what you're looking to do with your truck and he'll recommend what valving he thinks will be good for ya. I run Stage 6 and it drives just fine on the streets.
Call Carli and ask them about the airbags and they'll give you an honest answer. Both shops are great to deal with and I guarantee you won't be disappointed with thier products.
