Thuren 2" Lift Installed
Installed my 2" Lift from Don Thuren about a month ago now. Don was great to deal with and the kit is top notch.
He usually supplies 3" front springs but I wanted to keep a little rake (nose down) so I ordered 2" front springs, Carli mini-packs for the rear (approx. 1" of lift), King 2.5 shocks all around, new sway bar end links, new shock towers.
I had the tech at the local Dodge dealer install the kit. He really liked the kit and thought is was a great deal compared to the cost of the Kore kits he's installed. Only problem encountered during install was to keep the upper overload, we had to install longer u-bolts. Luckily he had some left over from a Superlift kit. Also, have to remove the pins from the clips on the Carli mini-packs so they don't hit the upper overload springs. This is only a problem for 3500 trucks with the upper overloads.
The truck rides great. Much smoother on road and off. Definately not a cadillac, but pretty good for a 1 ton pickup. The shocks really make for a controlled ride. You can haul a** off road too.
Overall, I'm really happy with the kit and the truck now. Just added 35x12.5x17 Toyo Mts, I'll upload pics later for those.

See the pics below for the rear springs. You can see the longer u-bolts and where the pins had to be removed from the retainer clips on the mini-packs.

That really looks awesome. I need to contact Lorenz about a mini-pack kit for my 04.5. It sags about .75' in the rear and the 1" pack would just level it out.

Did you install all the factory spacers Under the mini-pacs like the pictures above? That will give you at least 1" of lift. The centering pin/bolt has tons of extra thread so you can add in those spacers.

I think they assume you are going to remove your helper springs when you buy a performance long travel suspension. If you don't put tons of weight in the bed, I would pull them out so you never hit those bumpstops

I left all the factory blocks in place and only removed the lower factory overload. This allows for maximum lift but without the initial harsh ride from the lower overload. The upper overload only comes into play when I haul a load of firewood or gravel or tow heavy. I do construction type work, so I needed to retain my load capacity but wanted a smoother ride on the small bumps. This seems to be a good compromise for me.
