throttle cable recall

well my throttle cable is all frayed up and come to find out there is a recall on them so the dealership is going to put the updated part on and they wont let me do it . but do they charge any thing for doing this? just wondering thanks.

I had mine done a few years back. They didnt charge me anything.

Got mine done two years ago - NO CHARGE! Get them to check if you have any other recalls outstanding. I got 6 done two years ago - all free!!!

now if they would do a recall or campaign on the dowel pin, 5th gear nut, 53 block.... luckily i only have to worry about the dowel pin for now

I never thought that I could get the throttle cable recall done this late in the game for free, which years did it apply to?

Beware if the dealer does the recall if you have an auto tranny.
For some reason many skip the fact the TPS is adjustable and screw your shifting all up.

luckilly this job was done right and i had no problems but good call infidel.

Factory recall item

get it done for free, but if your dealerships are anything like mine, they will mess with something and ull have to go back and check it out..

Had mine done a few years ago for free took one day. The dealership I took it to messed up my vacumn hose and made my a/c system only blow at defrost level and cruise wouldnt work. I quickly fixed that! My truck had 225000+ on it when I took it in.
