My '99 just started late shifting to 2nd and 3rd, not shifting normal and motor revs longer before shift some times.

Could this be The Throtle Position Sensor is bad and needs cleaning.

Any photos on cleaning the TPS . I still need to get a Manual so any pictures would be appriciated

Also, what is " the Pot" ive read this several times about the TPS, can someone inlighten me?

Might want to do KD band adjustment just to see where it is. When the KD band gets loose a complaint like your surfaces. When no threads protude boyone jamb nut on KD adjustment, the band is worn out and tranny ohaul required. Don't keep running in this condition. It gets more expensive to repair.

Its the bands.
Listen to dozer. mine started doing that and while it wasnt THAT much more, I had to get some parts replaced because my band wore clean away before I got it in the shop.

Nope It aint the bands.[laugh] I just checked both bands adjustment a while back for the heck of it

Also , someone inlightened me that my 99 doesnt have a TPS. It has a APPS [duhhh]

Found I got P0720 code. I replaced the speed sensor. Shift problem curred, so far, no more check engine light so far on test drive. Seems to be fixed
