thinking about putting my Autometers in, Pyro ?
well, I've had a set of autometer gauges (boost/pyro) since I bought my truck & am just now getting around to installing them, my ? is how many of you drilled & tapped your manifold w/out removing the turbo?? I've done this countless times on the older trucks, but I am kind of afraid of going this route with these new turbos? any chance of any tiny metal shavings causing problems with the sliding parts in the turbo??? or should I be ok if I grease the drill bit & tap really good, & also I've heard of people drilling the manifold with the truck running?? would this be a good idea???? thanks alot, Dusty

I did mine with the truck off,no grease on the tap. I used a pencil magnet thru the hole to get the filings out after drilling and tapping. There was quite a bit of metal particles. I just kept using the magnate until no more particles came out of the hole.Worked excellent.
