Re:Thinking about buying an 04

I just order and got a price below invoice + any incentives that are available at the time of delivery. I'm just hoping that the incentives go up and there is no EGR when it comes in.

I'm in Maryland and my dealer always sells at invoice or below invoice then takes off incentives.

My brother checked on prices and they were willing to take $7'000 off a truck with the sticker price of $37,000 on an 03 off the lot.

I thought you had your auto rebuilt? Is it still giving you problems? If so, what is happening. I'm considering making the same switch as you.

Wow!!! Is that what it runs to put a new tranny in? I've looked a little at some of the different companies' web sites but wasn't sure if their prices included labor.

I'd give Luke a PM or call.

I would think you, being the one who "Owns this Place", would get a great price from him.

Personally, I'd find a nice slightly used 2002, you could even transplant your ATS into it.
Then you wouldn't have to do so much darn shifting.

Re:Thinking about buying an 04

If you want an '03, you better get one fast because they seem to be disapearing pretty quick. My dealer as a few left now where they had a bunch a month ago. With the '04, just get a deal like I got. My dealer says that if I don't want it, I don't have to take it. Infact, I didn't even put any money down to order. I'm more worried about overall quality, because it seems every vehicle rides different even when new and the same model, then the EGR. But I prefer not to have an EGR.

Re:Thinking about buying an 04

I don't think there are any significant differences between the early 04s and the remaining 03s. Rear headrests, chrome body moulding... that kind of stuff. I'm guessing you can get a better deal on an 03 (shoot, rebates alone are $1500 better) than a new 04. If you're planning on keeping it, then resale/depreciation isn't that much of a concern, so I'd go with an 03. If you think you'll trade in a few years, the 04 is the best bet.

That said, for my 03, MSRP: $39260, out the door: $31097. I don't pay sales tax since I'm a NH resident and I also got the $750 military bonus.
