Well yesterday I was driving along and went to give it some and it had nothing. No smoke, no go, until I let it go to idle. Then all was fine. So I came home and cleaned to grounds and let it sit overnight with the batts. disconnected. This morning I reset the TPS and fired it up. Went to pull out the driveway and there was no pedal at all. I put it to the floor and only reved up like 100 rpm. Shut it down and checked for codes and got PO216. Also my fuel milage has dropped to a new low of about 8.5- 9 mpg. Does this sound like vp time to everyone??

My truck started with the same exact problems, I tried and tried to make sure it was the vp before replacing it so I continued to drive it for about 5 months now. It has not gotten any better or worse. If I turn the truck off when it acts up and start it right back up it is fine for most of the day, still acts up some on the expressway though. I ordered timbo's apps Friday and it will be here in a couple days. If you can wait, I will tell you if the apps fixed it for me or if I will need a new vp44. For $160 I am going to try the apps first.

Do you have codes for a bad APPS? if not its highly unlikely that it will fix your issue,
heres a very good link to help you trouble shoot your truck
