I think my timing just slipped...
I got my pump IP swapped with a newly rebuilt one and all seemed well. It idled great and revved up fine. I took it for the first test drive this morning and it was great till I went to get into it and at about 2500 the truck stumbled. After that it idles normal but has white smoke coming out the exhaust and little to no power, it isnt driveable. Now for my admission of guilt I tightened the timing gear locking nut really tight but I didnt check the torque setting Both the pump and engine had been locked engine at TDC and pump @16* then the pins were pulled and inverted. Like I said it happened when revved over 2500 and now idles fine but smokes and has no power.

Did you spray the shaft and the gear mating surfaces with contact cleaner? I think you also need a new nut and washer for it.
You might also try backing off on the star wheel and moving the AFC back. That pump is set up to flow a lot of fuel and without the turbo to clean it up its going to smoke
