will these wheels fit?
i'm trying to find out if these 8 lug 99 f250 ford aluminum wheels will fit on my 94 4x4 dodge. my concerns are the obvious lug pattern, drum brake clearance, and stance. i would prefer steel wheels but these are cheap with tires on them!! the tire dimensions are the same just not sure about everything else. thanks for your help.

has ford always used metric pattern? or is there certian year 8 lugs i could use on my dodge? what about chevy, gmc? i have been shopping for used wheels with balanced decent tires on them on craigslist and i was just wondering what 8 lugs would fit. did dodge change their 8 lug dimensions too at some point?

I think ford switched to the metric pattern in 98 anything before that should fit
the chevy is the same pattern but the center hole is smaller
I believe any dodge wheel should fit
some one correct me if i'm wrong

You are almost completely correct that any Dodge rims will fit. The factory alloys from the 01-02 trucks will take a little grinding (I'm thinking it is on the brake drums, but not positive about that)

The 01-02 alloys wont fit over a drum brake D80 I know this from experience
Some older dodge steel wheels might need some grinding on the center hole if your truck is equipped with a D80, I also know this from experience
Good luck on the wheel search
thanks for the correction, displacedtexan

I put a set of the new alloys on my old 97 when I sold the truck so I could keep the aftermarkets that were on it. I just used an angle grinder and took down the lip on the brake drums. I did just enough to fit the wheels (which wasn't much at all) and they fit like a dream.

thanks, that helps a lot. that saved me an hour drive in traffic and 'manually' checking to see if they fit. my favorites are the stock steel utility looking wheels i think popular on early 2nd gens. that would be the ideal find for me-- those wheels with some decent tread.
