is there a difference in GSK manufacturers?

I have one from tst, and when I was talking to a guy from DTT he said he would send me one of there GSK's if I buy there trans. he said there GSK was smoother operating then the TST kit. what do you guys think? should I use the DTT GSK or keep the TST kit?

I bet if you call TST , theirs will be better.

I don't know if there is an actual difference in manufacturing , I think they are all made my bosch anyways?

I've installed both BD and TST springs, they look to be exactly the same to me.
My bet is they are all made by the same company, not sure who it is though.

The DTT GSK was engineered to match to the transmissions they build. Yes, they are different, better full throttle shift points are obtained vs others out there. I'll have to agree with Stephan from DTT, I say they are smoother all around. They also go the extra step in deburring all edges of the springs. Some I've seen aren't even doing that.

How about if a person didn't have their tranny, & only wanted the GSK?? is it still smoother than others?
Any reports on the GSK sold by City Diesel?

Or.... is it possible that DTT engineers their transmissions knowing you have a GSK? I know Dave asked me if I had a GSK when he built my tranny. To be entirely honest, I don't see how engineering a new blend of 3K GSK would turn much of a profit. Depending on how much work goes into them, the market is fairly small for them unless they sell them a bit on the high side. I think the major performance difference is in how they are installed. Mine from Piers were silky smooth until I cranked them in a couple of clicks to get more RPM, then they got pretty choppy. This is just my .02.

I think you may be right about building the tranny to match the GSK, because when the lady that takes the orders at DTT said they were out of the GSK, & they were on back order. When I ordered mine from City Diesel, I asked them if their GSK were manufactured by someone else, & she said they manufacture their own GSK's.. Go Figger..

I have theirs, and it fuels past 3200rpm, so I'm happy.

Add PDR, too. I've used kits from all three and they all use a one piece replacement spring seat, but I never measured them to compare.
If memory serves, Piers was part of the GSK development while he was still with BD.
I've heard some places just sell springs where you use the factory seats. Anyone run into that?
