Thanks Larry for the clutch now I need more power...

Larry we got the clutch in this morning. It works great so far.
For the guys reading this last week I bought a 3250dd from Larry and had it two days later. UPS guy says he never wants to deliver another one as his you know whats now hurt from carrying it into my garage. Had the clutch installed locally and they said it was the nicest clutch they had seen. Also the heaviest. Clutch pushes a bit harder than stock but not a big deal. Tends to vibrate at lower rpm but I am ok with that. It was my decision to mod the truck after all and you take a lot of good with some bad.
Two months or so ago I got the smarty from Larry. Smoked my stock clutch 15 minutes after ups dropped it off. My own fault. So with a clutch that was ailing I couldn't have any fun until today. Today I have spent the last 2 hours playing with the smarty. Lot to learn here as the adjustments are about unlimited. Of course like every guy reading this I went all out on the first run. Truck makes some power and some smoke. Maybe not as much power as I had hoped but then again maybe I was hoping for more than possible. It does have some pretty serious power though compared to a stock truck. Now I have some questions for you and the guys reading this.
1. What appears to be the best all around setting for a little playing around.
2. What about the best mileage setting?
3. For max power on an 06 truck that is otherwise stock what settings?
4. Here is the big one. What is next? What do I stack it with. My boost did not get as high as it did with just a quadzilla xzt. Would more boost make much more usable power? Better mileage? So far I have only seen 30 pounds on my gauge. I saw near that stock. I would get 35ish with the xzt box. The bug has bitten. I am hooked.
To the guys that actually read this whole thing and have an input I appreciate it. Jim

I don't see any fuel upgrades in your sig, you are not going to be able to maximize the smarty with out some more fuel. Daily driving, you'd be fine on 5 or 7 playing, I try to keep mine on 1 for MPG's with a little power. (our trucks are totally different, tho)

Make sure you are monitoring your RP and FP, it will tell you how far you can go with the smarty.

As far as a good stack, an MP-8 from TS performance is a good cheap stack, or the TST is a great stack with a smarty, but a little expensive.

Boost: The stock charger is good only till about 35 psi, anything over that and you are just making hot air. You need fuel to make boost, so try playing with the RP settings and torque management to get more fuel.

Really, I would not worry about stacking anything until you put a fuel pump and upgrade the CP3. There are a few DIY CP3 upgrades out there that will only run you a couple hundred.

I could go on for pages, just ask if you have any more specific questions.

I don't have the fuel pressure or rail pressure gauges at this time. Have not really seen a need for them until the smarty came along. Would a boost fooler do anything at this point?

The smarty boost fools up to 38 or 42 psi, I believe.

Do you have the revo program? What are you running the adjustable settings on?

I would really suggest FP and RP gauges. What gauges do you have?

I don't know your father but he is correct that you need to break that clutch in before romping on it like that. If I remember correctly South Bend says to stop and go city type drive it for 200 miles before hammering it.

You got a lot invested in it, be a shame to have to pay for another one next month by abusing that one too soon

I will take it out for a a while tomorrow and get some miles on it. Certainly don't want an issue. I don't have the revo program that I know of. I am not that up on them but it is a basic smarty sr. It truly is an amazing programmer for all the things it can do.
