Thanks DTR!!!
I saved me a bunch of money and time by reading this forum. I recently had a new lower ball joint install at a local tire shop. An alignment was done at the same time along with new tires. After the work was done the truck felt like there was play in the steering. Took the truck back 2 times and the shop said there was nothing wrong. I set up another appointment with the manager. The night before I did some searching around here and found several people with the exact same problem as me. Seem they all had Moog ball joints installed which created the problem. The manager wanted to start swapping out tires until I asked him what kind of ball joint was installed. I found out they put in a moog joint. I told the manager to change the ball joint which they did. Truck is back to normal. This is an awesome forum!
